Spun Out Funky Swimmer

This Son of a B is mezzzmorizing! It has a crazy erratic subterranean walk the dog motion followed up with eye crossing spinning tails in the back. If Muskies have a post office I am betting I will be on a "WANTED" poster on the wall for this one.

Today's Musky Menu Special: FROG

I've been wanting a big daddy frog to chuck at Muskies for awhile and finally came up with something that made me say "Oh yeah I'd eat that". I've seen Frogs along the Susquehanna as big as a brick, and just knew these soft meaty guys just had to be a favorite on the Musky menu.

Funky swimmers heading to Tennessee

These Funky swimmers will be headed south to Tennessee to hunt down some smallies and trout with Randy Ratliffe of Troutfishers Guide Service as well as a friend we all know Bob Clouser. Check out Randy's Facebook page when ya get a chance very impressive stuff. I'm hoping to get some footage of these being pulled through the water soon, it will do way more justice to the funky swimming than I can describe.

Daydreaming of Summer and chucking top water.. Thought I would work out some slider and popper ideas. Looking forward to causing some commotion on the surface then pull this t-bone under and get those twister tails whispering sweet nothings to Big Man.

What a woman! My fiance' Amy caved and gave me my gift early, and I was stunned to find out it was a much needed item for the tying desk. She knows me well.

NEW JERSEY!!

Been a long time.. I've been working overtime to make sure I'm as ready as possible for the big show this weekend in Jersey. Can't wait to not only tie but to see everyone and check out some new fly ideas. There is even gonna be a film tour there Friday evening. Looking forward to checking out "A Backyard in Nowhere", if you haven't heard of this movie yet do yourself a favor and google it and check out the trailer. Most everything is packed up but I had a few ties on the drying rack that I took pics of for this post.

tubes part 2

Another attempt at tying a tube fly. I definately like this design and will be getting some differant colors working soon. Forgive me with the picture, I got a sweet camera for x-mas and am still trying to learn how it works.
